I was reading through some of my writings, and when I was into acting and performing, I had a lot of things I used to say and sometimes still say. I thought I would share some of them with you. Giving people a laugh or chuckle is good therapy. SO enjoy!
First Line I ever said, “I would just like a date before I have to order my walker”(Perhaps I should not have said that as I am still waiting!
- In the Dark Ages there used to be a concept called dated-where someone asked you out and you spent time talking to get to know one another and the gentleman paid the bill and never expected anything, they just enjoyed getting to know you. After a few dinner dates over the last few years I have actually been abandoned with a $20 dinner bill. I have listened to men complain about dates they had where the women ordered $75 bottles of wine and they never heard from them again. I don`t drink so guess I am a cheap date.. I have had men who pretended to want a business meeting, but arrived with long stem roses and wanted to invite themselves up after a lovely dinner, and never talked about anything related to the original plan to talk about a business proposal. They thought I would be dessert. Really!
- Why is it guys go to a dance and stand around the dance floor and never dance and act like they are in a shopping mall! I know they are shopping in one sense, but women LOVE to dance and more men need to get it, and learn, its not that hard.
- I have to laugh, we get all these surveys from the corporate world when we are working for them sometimes. They want us to know what we like and dislike etc. and we just want to keep our jobs. If we filled them out honestly they would not like the answers. However, maybe things would change, like not expecting us to do the jobs of 3 people. I have found the workloads to be unbelievable in some places.
- I just detest when men tell me the first thing they noticed about me was my breasts..like really, whatever happened to looking at someones face and eyes! I am not just a blowup doll.. MORE TO COME
